This quilt is wall hanging size.  The pictures were appliqued to consistent-sized blocks then quilted.

The following pictures show various quilts I have made from the clothing of loved ones who have passed.

This bed-runner style quilt was designed and made for my client for her son's 30th birthday.  She chose pictures of him at all ages, with family members and, of course, with her.  There are also collage pictures in the corners, two of which are in heart shapes and two that spell out "Mom" (visible on bottom left of quilt).  The blocks are 8" square and the overall size of the quilt is 92" x 55".  It is pictured on a king size bed here.

These pictures show more detail of the Friendship Star blocks and the quilting.

The sashing strips are 2" finished and the cornerstones are 2" square.
I am no longer making memory quilts but please feel free to use these pictures as inspiration.

Memory Quilts

A family photograph and hand prints are used on this memory quilt for grandma.

A few blocks were left blank so additional family members could add their prints to the quilt too.

This quilt incorporates clothing, pictures and treasured, hand-written notes which were scanned and printed.

This modern design quilt was made from school uniform dresses.  If you look closely you can see the buttons and pintucking on some of the squares.  A few extra colors were used to make the additional squares needed to make the quilt queen size.
